ROSIE BAKE ME A CAKE – WEDDING POLICIES & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Booking & Retainer

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your wedding date.
Your date is not secured until the retainer has been paid and your proposal has been formally approved.

The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event. Orders not paid in full by the deadline may be canceled.

Placing an Order is a piece of cake!

Once you submit a wedding inquiry form, I’ll contact you within 48-72 hours with availability, pricing, and a personalized proposal.

Your date is secured only after your proposal is signed and your deposit is made. If not signed and completed within 72 hours, your custom proposal will automatically expire.

Delivery & Setup

Wedding cake delivery includes arrival, setup, and final inspection of the cake table.
Setups occur within your venue’s allowed delivery window, which must be communicated in advance.

A delivery fee will be added based on distance and venue location.

Someone from the venue (or your designated coordinator) must be available for communication at the time of delivery.

Liability After Delivery

Once the cake has been delivered and set up safely, responsibility transfers to the client, venue, or caterer.
I am not liable for damage caused by:

  • Guests

  • Catering staff

  • Children/accidental contact

  • Moving the cake

  • Weather conditions

  • Unstable or inappropriate display tables

    Slicing & Serving Policy

I provide delivery and full cake setup, but I do not slice or serve cakes for any event, including weddings. Once the cake has been delivered, approved, and set up on the display table, responsibility for slicing, serving, and food handling transfers to your venue, coordinator, or catering team.

Please ensure the venue or caterer is aware of your cake design, structure, and any fillings that may require refrigeration. If you or your caterer need guidance on proper slicing portions for tiers, I am always happy to provide a slicing chart.

Outdoor Weddings

Outdoor setups are not recommended for buttercream cakes due to heat, humidity, insects, and uneven surfaces.

If your event is held outdoors, the client assumes full responsibility for any melting or damage caused by weather conditions.

Cake Storage Policy

Wedding cakes are designed to be enjoyed on the day of your event. After delivery and setup, it is the responsibility of the venue, caterer, or client to store the cake appropriately.

Wedding cakes should be kept:

  • In a cool, climate-controlled area

  • Away from direct sunlight or heat sources

  • Indoors whenever possible

Once the cake has been delivered and approved, I cannot be responsible for heat damage, mishandling, or improper storage by the venue.

First Anniversary Cake Saving

If you plan to save the top tier for your first anniversary, please let me know in advance so I can recommend the best way to protect the freshness.

For best results:

  1. Chill the cake until firm

  2. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap

  3. Wrap again in two layers of foil

  4. Place inside an airtight container

  5. Store in the freezer

Please note: I cannot guarantee cake quality after long-term freezing, as results vary depending on freezer conditions and handling. Many couples choose to order a fresh, small anniversary cake instead.

Florals

If your design includes real florals:

  • Flowers must be pesticide-free and food-safe,

  • Provided by your florist,

  • Ready at the venue prior to delivery.

I can place florals during setup with prior arrangement.

Stands, Rentals & Cake Table Requirements

Cake stands, separators, or display items borrowed from me must be returned within 72 hours of the event.

The client is responsible for ensuring the cake table is:

  • Sturdy

  • Level

  • In a climate-controlled area

  • Ready at the time of delivery

Any instability or unsafe placement may result in refusal to set up until corrected.

Allergy Disclaimer

My home bakery contains common allergens, including dairy, eggs, gluten, wheat, nuts, and soy.
I do not offer allergen-free or vegan wedding cakes at this time.

Clients are responsible for informing guests of any allergy concerns.

Design + Creative Freedom

Wedding cake designs must be finalized no later than 30 days before the wedding date.
Any changes requested after this point are not guaranteed and may result in additional fees.

I do not copy designs exactly, but I’m always happy to use your inspiration photos to create a unique design in my Rosie style.

Photos & Social Media

I reserve the right to photograph your cake for my portfolio, website, and social media.
Your identity or event details will never be shared without permission.

Weather Policy

Heat and sun can cause cakes and frosting to melt.
Rosie Bake Me A Cake is not responsible for damage caused by:

  • hot cars

  • outdoor heat

  • travel time

Please store your treats safely.

Cancellations

Because your date is reserved exclusively for you and wedding cakes require extended planning:

  • The 50% retainer is non-refundable.

  • Orders canceled within 30 days of the event are due in full.

Rescheduling is subject to availability.

Refund Policy
